Wu Bijun, researcher of Guangzhou Institute of energy, Chinese Academy of Sciences, came to Ocean University to give a lecture on Freshmen's professional education

On the morning of October 8, 2019, researcher Wu Bijun from Guangzhou Institute of energy, Chinese Academy of Sciences was invited to the College of oceanography to give a wonderful lecture on marine energy to the freshmen majoring in marine science of level 19.

Wu Bijun, male, born in March 1965, doctor of China University of science and technology, researcher of Guangzhou Energy Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, doctoral supervisor. In the past 20 years, he has been mainly engaged in the research of wave energy technology, including hydrodynamic calculation, conversion optimization theory and automatic control of wave energy devices, and presided over a number of national scientific research projects with outstanding achievements.

In the lecture, Mr. Wu Bijun introduced the types, characteristics, reserves and main utilization principles of marine energy for the freshmen of 19 grade marine science major, described the types, basic conversion principles, characteristics and utilization status of wave energy utilization technology, and emphasized that the self-propelled power supply ship based on the development of wave energy utilization technology of oscillating water column has high conversion efficiency, simple structure and construction With the characteristics of low cost, convenient maintenance, safety and controllability, it has broad application and commercial development prospect.
