Personal profile: 
       Associate Professor Wang Lei received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2004. From September 2004 to September 2015, he was engaged in the research of medical molecular biology and marine functional genes at the School of Life Sciences of Sun Yat-Sen University. Associate professor of the School of Science, master's tutor. In 2010, he was selected as a school-level candidate for the “Thousand Talents Training Project”. In 2011, he went to the Faculty of Medicine of Virginia Commonwealth University for a one-year study of visiting scholars. In September 2015, he was transferred to the South China Agricultural University, mainly engaged in research work on marine biological functional genes and aquaculture immunomodulation biological agents. He has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation Project (300,000), Marine 863 Program (880,000), National Science and Technology Support Program 12th Five-Year Marine Fisheries and Beach Utilization Special (8.26 million), Guangdong Province Ocean The scientific and technological development of regional demonstration projects (575 million) and other scientific research projects, and achieved a number of important original results. A total of 26 related SCI papers were published. As the main inventor, he obtained 20 national invention patents related to marine biological function genes. Independently supervised 5 postgraduates, assisted in guiding 4 doctoral students and 6 postgraduates. As a lecturer, he has undertaken the compulsory course for undergraduate students of the School of Life Sciences of Sun Yat-Sen University, Biotechnology Comprehensive Experiment, Progress in Modern Biotechnology, Professional Elective Course Medical Molecular Biology, and Master of Engineering Master's Course Progress in Bioengineering Teaching work. At present, he has undertaken the teaching of courses such as “Marine Biopharmaceuticals”, “Drug Toxicology” and “Biotechnology Drugs” of South China Agricultural University.
