The new term ocean forum heavy attack

At the beginning of the new term, on the afternoon of March 9th, hundreds of teachers and students in our hospital participated in the eighteenth ocean forum held at the 101 classroom of the first teaching building in South China Agricultural University. The forum was hosted by Professor Yang Huirong and invited to Richard Xie (Xie Hang), a member of the World Association of entrepreneurs, to describe the status and development of the world sea water ornamental fish industry.

It is reported that Richard is a native of Guangzhou and graduated from Zhongshan University in international trade. Then he received master's degree in marketing from University of the Pacific, Hawaii. In 2009, he was responsible for the export of aquatic products and ornamental fish in Hawaii to 27 countries, and created a new educational tourism model for sightseeing in breeding farms. It served nearly 30 thousand people in the year. With the help of professional skills, Richard has built up a new company every 3 years on the basis of his strong interest and desire for new things.

In the forum, Richard first narrated the development of the world ornamental fish industry, including the industry subdivision and the consumer group of the marine ornamental fish industry. The marine ornamental fish industry developed in 80s faces many difficulties, such as overfishing, environmental protection policies, consumer changes and technological improvements, but the opportunities and difficulties are difficult. The emergence of the problem has forced the development of new technologies, such as artificial breeding, breakthroughs in hybridization technology and the postlarvae collection technology, which he now focuses on, all of which can promote the sustainable development of the industry. Finally, Richard briefly discussed the possibility of developing marine fish ornamental industry in China. After the report, Richard responded to questions from three students.

This forum has broadened the new thinking of the teachers and students in our college, and has demonstrated the vigorous development momentum of the aquatic industry from the perspective of ornamental fish trade.
